Vendor Fair and Roundtable Discussion
'Table Talk'
Attendees also took advantage of
the large vendor fair that took place at the meeting. Part of
the vendor time include a 'game of cards' where attendees were
given a card at each vendor table. During the roundtable
discussion and business meeting part of the day, those with the
'most 2's', 'straights', and 'diamonds' won prizes provided by
generous vendors.
CAP Memo
During the roundtable, Bob
Kaplanis brought up the notice that the College of American
Pathologists’ (CAP) Laboratory Accreditation Program (LAP)
will no longer require enrollment and participation in
proficiency testing (PT) for waived whole blood glucose on
glucose meters (ie, WB2/WBG) and waived whole blood Protime/INR
(ie, WP10) beginning with the 2017 PT program year.
