Program
Description:
In 2011, CMS announced the replacement of
“Equivalent QC” with a risk management based
approach termed “IQCP”. This session provides a
didactic lecture with an overview of QC for CLIA
compliance and steps required to transition from
Equivalent QC to IQCP. It is followed by a
workshop where breakout groups select a specific
device and begin the process of developing an
IQCP.
Program
Objectives:
At the end of the session, participants will be
able to:
-
Consider
current QC processes as they relate to risk
management.
-
Identify key
resources for compliance with IQCP concepts.
-
Develop
individual quality control plans for all
tests performed under their direction.
