Summary of Meeting:

The Spring Meeting at Roanoke was an opportunity for Point of Care Coordinators and Vendors to learn about the CAP Unannounced Survey Process.  Adrienne Malta is the inspection manager from CAP and spoke on the unannounced survey process. Each attendee had access to the POCT checklist to prompt questions through the discussion period.  Many of the questions were related to competency.

The Vendor Fair:

The vendor fair was a great success, allowing for 15 vendors to display their latest products and network with coordinators.  Many thanks to the vendors that supported the meeting and participated in the fair.

Business Meeting

  • Requests were made for the next meeting site.  Richmond HCA will investigate the possibility of hosting the next meeting.  Another option might be the VA Historial Society.
     

  • Rick Lebo mentioned that KEYPOCC will be meeting in September and will inviting VAPOCC to participate in the planning meeting for 2008 AACC in DC.
