IQCP: Where do we go from here?- Marcia L. Zucker, Ph.D
In 2011, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the intention to replace current “Equivalent QC” processes with a risk management based approach to Quality Control termed “IQCP”, based upon the CLSI guideline EP-23, Laboratory Quality Control Based on Risk Management. This session will provide an overview on the evolution of Quality Control requirements for CLIA compliance and the steps required to transition from Equivalent QC to IQCP. It will be followed by a workshop where breakout groups will select a specific device and begin the processes necessary to develop an IQCP.
