Demers, Ph.D. |
Dr.
Laurence M. Demers, PhD, DABCC, FACB is Distinguished
Professor of Pathology and Medicine at The Pennsylvania
State University College of Medicine and former Director
of Clinical Chemistry, Automated Testing and Central
Processing sections of the Clinical Laboratories. He is
the Director of the Core Endocrine and Pathology Services
Laboratories at Penn State’s Milton S. Hershey Medical
Center. Dr.
Demers is a graduate of Merrimack College, and received
his doctorate in biochemistry from the State University of
New York, Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY.
He is a Past President of the National Academy of
Clinical Biochemistry and the American Association of
Clinical Chemistry. He
is an active researcher and has published 525 papers, and
three books. In
1986, he was the recipient of the prestigious Ames Award
given by the AACC for his outstanding contributions to
Clinical Chemistry. He has also earned several other
national awards. |
